How to use the addition pages
- Count the first group and say the number.
- Count the second group.
- Count them all together, pointing to each picture once.
- Write the total in the box and read the whole sentence: "two plus three equals five."
Make addition hands-on
- Snack math. "You have 2 crackers. I give you 3 more. How many now?"
- Toy cars. Park 3 cars, then 2 more arrive.
- Fingers. Show 2 fingers on one hand and 3 on the other, then count all.
