December is exciting for little kids, and that excitement can be hard to manage. A short Christmas worksheet is a nice way to slow down for a few minutes: something calm and festive that still practices counting and letters.
These three free Christmas worksheets for preschool use ornaments, a gingerbread man and gifts. Each one is a single page in black and white, so it prints on any home printer and your child can color it in.
What your child practices
- Counting 1 to 5 with Christmas ornaments.
- Counting up to 9 with gift boxes, for children ready for bigger numbers.
- The letter G: tracing big G and small g, with a gingerbread man to color.
How to use the Christmas pages
- Start with Count the Ornaments. The numbers stay small, so it works well for three-year-olds.
- Trace G is for Gingerbread. Say "g-g-gingerbread" and listen for the first sound together.
- Try Count the Gifts when your child is ready to count bigger groups.
- Decorate the finished pages. Add stickers or glitter glue and hang them up. Kids love seeing their work on the fridge.
