What your child practices
- Writing A and a with dotted tracing letters.
- Recognizing A and a among other letters.
- Hearing the /a/ sound at the start of words like apple and acorn.
How to use the letter A pages
- A is for Apple. Trace big A and small a, then color the apple.
- Find Every A. Color or circle each A and a in the grid, then count them. There are 12.
- Which Letter Does It Start With? Say each picture name and circle its first letter. Apple and acorn start with A; the other pictures are for extra practice.
- Talk about it. Ask, "Can you think of another word that starts like apple?"
