What your child practices

- S is for Sun. Trace big S and small s, then color the sun.
- Find Every S. Color or circle each S and s in the letter grid, then count how many you found.
- Listen for /s/. Say each picture name and circle the letter it starts with.

Letter S activities to try at home
- Snake shapes. Roll playdough snakes and bend them into an S.
- Sock sort. Sort socks and say "s-s-socks".
- S hunt. Look for the letter S on cereal boxes, books and signs.
- Air writing. Draw a giant S in the air together before tracing on paper.
Tips
Keep it short. One page a day is plenty. Come back to the letter over the week.
Sounds first. Say /s/ (the sound), not just the letter name, so your child connects the letter to words.
